TITLE 'CIRCUIT COURT,' TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY AFTER
SECTION 111 (A) THEREOF, AS LAST AMENDED BY CHAP-
TER 296 OF THE ACTS OF 1965, AND TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

(A-l) IN ADDITION TO THE PROVISIONS OF SUBSECTION
(A) ABOVE, THE JUDGE OF THE SEVENTH JUDICIAL CIR-
CUIT RESIDENT IN CALVERT COUNTY IS AUTHORIZED TO
APPOINT AN OFFICIAL COURT REPORTER FOR THE CIR-
CUIT COURT FOR CALVERT COUNTY AT A SALARY TO BE
FIXED BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CALVERT
COUNTY ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE RESIDENT
JUDGE OF THE COUNTY. THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR A SUM EQUAL TO THE FULL
SALARY OF THE COURT REPORTER.
Sec. 2 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1966.

(House Bill 527)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 256 of
Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replace-
ment Volume and 1965 Supplement), title "Licenses," subtitle
"Home-Improvement Law," providing that installation of central
heating or air-conditioning systems shall be deemed within the
scope of the craft or profession of a plumber, electrician, architect,
or other such person required by law to attain standards of com-
petency or experience, so as to exempt such installations from
licensing requirements under the Home-Improvement Law.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 256 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Replacement Volume and 1965 Supplement), title "Licenses,"
subtitle "Home-Improvement Law," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
256.
No contractor's or salesman's license shall be required of any person
when acting in the particular capacity or particular type of trans-
action set forth in this section:
(1) An individual who performs labor or services for a con-
tractor for wages or salary and who does not act in the capacity
of salesman for the contractor.
