CHAPTER 597
(Senate Bill 536)
AN ACT to add a new Section 38 (e) to Article 101 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Workmen's
Compensation", to follow immediately after Section 38 (d) thereof,
amending the Workmen's Compensation Laws with particular
respect to an insurer or employer who directs or requests a
claimant or his personal representative to send the completed claim
to the insurer and providing for the disposition of such claim.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 38 (e) be and it is hereby added to Article 101 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title
"Workmen's Compensation", to follow immediately after Section
38 (d) thereof, and to read as follows:
38.
(e) In any case where an insurer or an employer directs or re-
quests a claimant, or his personal representative in the case of a
death claim, to send the completed claim form to the insurer, upon
receipt of the form the insurer shall immediately file the claim with
the commission; and in no case shall the insurer or employer advise
the claimant or his personal representative that the claim has been
denied.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

AN ACT to add a new Section 182B (f) to Article 87 77 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title "Pub-
lic Education", subtitle "Chapter 16. Public Libraries", to follow
immediately after Section 182B(e) thereof, amending the laws
concerning the Public Library Incentive Fund with particular ref-
erence to expenditures from this Fund for the construction of a
library, and generally relating to the Public Library Incentive
Fund.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 182B (f) be and it is hereby added to Article 87 77
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume),
title "Public Education", subtitle "Chapter 16. Public Libraries", to
follow immediately after Section 182B(e) thereof, and to read as
follows:

(f) Notwithstanding any other provision of this section to the
contrary, each of the counties and the City of Baltimore shall partici-
