SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 77B (a) of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-title
"Fire Tax", as said section and sub-title were enacted by Chapter
759 of the Acts of 1957, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

77B.

(a) The provisions of this section shall apply to and be effective
in the [Second, Eighth and Ninth] following Election Districts of
St. Mary's County: Eighth.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

Approved March 11, 1965.

CHAPTER 92
(Senate Bill 190)

AN ACT to repeal Section 202A of Article 19 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County",
sub-title "Schools", as said section was last amended by Chapter 28
of the Acts of 1935; and to repeal Section 202B thereof, as enacted
by Chapter 140 of the Acts of 1939, repealing two obsolete and
unnecessary local laws of St. Mary's County concerning the trans-
portation of children attending schools in St. Mary's County.

Whereas, Sections 202A and 202B of the local laws of St. Mary's
County relate to the transportation of school children and are now
obsolete, having been superseded by later legislation; now, therefore

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 202A of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-title
"Schools", as said section was last amended by Chapter 28 of the
Acts of 1935, be and it is hereby repealed; and that Section 202B
thereof, as enacted by Chapter 140 of the Acts of 1939, be and it is
hereby repealed, as follows:

[202A. The County Commissioners of St. Mary's County are
authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to provide for the
transportation to and from school of children attending any school
in St. Mary's County, such transportation, on order of said County
Commissioners, to be provided by the Board of Education of St.
Mary's County in the school busses already provided for by said
Board of Education, or to be provided for by it in the future when-
ever said busses may have carrying capacity in excess of that
required to transport public school children.]

[202B. The County Commissioners of St. Mary's County are
hereby authorized and empowered to levy and appropriate for the
