he may have attended, and the sum [and mileage] due him, shall be
sufficient authority to the collector to pay the amount specified in
said certificate.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to repeal Section 57(f) of Article 19 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County",
sub-title "County Commissioners", as last amended by Chapter 532
of the Acts of 1963; and to enact new Section 57(f) in lieu thereof,
to stand in the place of the section repealed; to provide the County
Commissioners of St. Mary's County with discretionary powers to
determine the amounts of appropriation for promotional and other
work to be made to the Economic Development Commission of St.
Mary's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 57 (f) of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-title
"County Commissioners", as last amended by Chapter 532 of the
Acts of 1963, be and it is hereby repealed, and that new Section 57 (f)
be and it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of
the section so repealed, and to read as follows:

57(f)

The County Commissioners shall have the power to appropriate
such funds which they deem adequate and necessary for the expenses
of the Director of the Commission, for promotional work, and for the
payment of vouchers and bills approved by the Commission or the
Director, as the case may be, but in no event shall the credit of the
county be pledged in any one year in excess of a sum agreed to by the
County Commissioners.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1965.
