Department", sub-heading¹ "Governor", to follow immediately after
Section 59 thereof, and to read as follows:

59 A.

(a)   The Governor is authorized to offer a reward in the name of
the State of Maryland for information leading to the arrest and con-
viction of any person causing the death of a law enforcement officer
of the State or of any political subdivision of the State who is killed
in the performance of his duties. Upon the request of the State's
Attorney of the political subdivision in which the death occurred, the
Governor may fix and announce a reward for the information in an
amount not to exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000) in each case.
The determination of the Governor of the person or persons to whom
a reward is to be paid is conclusive.

(b)   Whenever the Governor has determined that any person is
entitled to a reward as provided by this section he shall include this
sum of money in the next annual State budget.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 126 (c)
and 221 (a) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition and 1964 Supplement), title "Natural Resources",
sub-title "Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish", sub-headings
respectively "Hunter's License", and "Game and Fresh Water
Fish—Regulations for Taking in Nontidal Waters", to change the
amounts retained by clerks of courts or agents for issuing hunting
and fishing licenses in the State, and to correct an error therein.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 126(c) and 221 (a) of Article 66C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1964 Supplement), title
"Natural Resources", sub-title "Birds Game and Inland Water Fish",
sub-headings respectively "Hunter's License" and "Game and Fresh
Water Fish—Regulations for Taking in Nontidal Waters", be and
they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

126.

(c) If a resident of the State of Maryland, the applicant shall pay
to the clerk of the court of the county, or agent of which he is a
resident, the sum of one dollar and seventy-five cents ($1.75) which
shall entitle him to hunt in the county in which he procures such
license, and if the applicant shall desire a State-wide license, he shall
pay a fee of five dollars and twenty-five cents ($5.25) which license
