(5) Provided that such restaurant or hotels shall purchase such
liquor or spirituous beverages sold by them from the Harford County-
liquor control board, and shall be charged [therefore] therefor the

invoice price of the liquor control board plus a sum not exceeding

freight charges thereon and plus [20%] 10% of such aggregate
invoice price and freight charges from time to time.
RETAIL PRICE
OF THE LIQUOR CONTROL BOARD LESS A DISCOUNT OF
TWENTY PER CENTUM (20%). This sub-section shall not be
construed to limit the powers of the liquor control board to control
the number of licensees under Section 42 and Section 184 of this
article, and provided further, that this sub-section shall not con-
travene the provisions of Sections 56, 57 and 99 of this article, as
said several sections may be amended from time to time.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 37 (r) of
Article 87 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement
Volume), title "Sheriffs", sub-title "Compensation and Duties", to

repeal Section 204 of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-title
"Sheriff", to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 203,

204A and 204B of such Article, title and sub-title and to repeal

and re-enact, with amendments, Section 45D of such Article and
title, sub title "Classified Service", to increase the salary of the
Sheriff of St. Mary's County, to terminate the payment to him of

certain expenses, to abolish the Board of Public Safety of St.

Mary's County, its duties and functions, to establish the number
of deputies to be appointed and to provide for their inclusion in

the Merit System, SECTIONS 203 AND 204 OF ARTICLE 19
OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF MARYLAND
(1930 EDITION), TITLE "ST. MARY'S COUNTY", SUB-TITLE
"SHERIFF", AND TO ENACT NEW SECTIONS 203, 204 AND
204A IN LIEU THEREOF, TO STAND IN THE PLACE
OF THE SECTIONS REPEALED; REPEALING OBSOLETE
LOCAL LAWS RELATING TO THE SHERIFF OF ST. MARY'S
COUNTY, INCREASING THE SALARY OF THE SHERIFF,
TERMINATING THE PAYMENT TO HIM OF CERTAIN EX-
PENSES, PROVIDING FOR A CHIEF DEPUTY SHERIFF
AND FOR CERTAIN DEPUTY SHERIFFS OF THE COUNTY,
THEIR NUMBER, DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS and relating
generally to the Sheriff and the Sheriff's office in St. Mary's
County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 37 (r) of Article 87 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
