ligious or charitable organization may, however, other than by
annuity contract, agree to accept conditional donations and to pay
to the donor or his nominee a specified return established with
reference to the actual net earnings of the particular donation or
with reference to the actual or estimated earnings of a specified
fund of the donee [college or university] organization and in so
doing, every such [college or university] educational; OR religious or
charitable organization shall be exempt from this section and from
all other provisions of this article with respect to such agreements,
and no law enacted hereafter shall apply to them unless they be
expressly designated therein.
(f) [Colleges and universities] Educational, AND religious and
charitable organizations specifically empowered to make agreements.
—Notwithstanding the absence of express power in the charters of
any [such] domestic [college or university] educational, OR religious
or charitable corporation, such organizations are specifically em-
powered to make the annuity agreements and such other agreements
with respect to conditional donations as are in this section expressly
permitted.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to repeal Section 319 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1964 Cumulative Supplement), title "Public Educa-
tion", sub-title "Fraudulent or Substandard Degrees", to elimi-
nate certain exemptions to the provisions included in this sub-
title.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 319 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Cumulative Supplement), title "Public Education", sub-title
"Fraudulent or Substandard Degrees", be and it is hereby repealed,
as follows:
[319. This sub-title shall not apply to any degree, diploma or other
certificate which is of use primarily in connection with a religious
calling or to any degree-granting institution engaged only in educa-
tional programs in the field of religion.]
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.
