provide that a domestic insurer with less than nine directors which
has had its annual meeting within the year prior to June 1, 1965
shall not be required to increase its directors to nine in number
until its next regularly scheduled annual meeting.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 1A be and it is hereby added to Chapter...........
(S.B. #17) of the Acts of 1965, to follow immediately after Section 1
thereof, and to read as follows:
Section 1A. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall not
apply to any domestic insurer until such time as its next scheduled
annual meeting, subsequent to the effective date of this Act, has been
held.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 8 (a) and
(b), and 9(f) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Supplement), title "Natural Resources", sub-title "In Gen-
eral", sub-heading "Department of Chesapeake Bay Affairs", to
fix terms of the Commission on Chesapeake Bay Affairs, the
designation of its Chairman and the compensation of its members
and the approval or disapproval of certain items of its budget,
and to correct an error therein.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 8(a) and (b), and 9(f) of Article 66C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1964 Supplement), title "Natural Resources",
sub-title "In General", sub-heading "Department of Chesapeake Bay
Affairs", be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
8.
(a) There is hereby created a commission of five members to be
called the Commission on Chesapeake Bay Affairs, which shall be
appointed by the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of
the Senate. [One of the members of the Commission shall be desig-
nated as the chairman and shall serve at the pleasure of the Governor.
The other four members of the Commission shall serve for terms
of four years each.] One of the members of the Commission shall
be designated as chairman by the Commission annually subject to
approval of the Governor. All members of the Commission shall
serve for terms of four years each. The members of the Commission
shall be appointed from the following geographic areas of the State:
two members who shall reside on the Eastern Shore, which shall
