AN ACT to repeal Section 202 of Article 19 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County",
sub-title "St. Mary's Hospital"; to repeal Section 202¼ of said
Article and sub-title, as enacted by Chapter 96 of the Acts of 1953;
to repeal Section 202½ of said Article and sub-title, as enacted by
Chapter 99 of the Acts of 1953; to repeal Section 202¾ of said
Article and sub-title, as enacted by Chapter 40 of the Acts of 1955;
and to repeal Section 64A of said Article, sub-title "County Com-
missioners", as enacted by Chapter 75 of the Special Session of
1948, repealing certain obsolete and inapplicable laws of St. Mary's
County concerning payments to or on account of St. Mary's
Hospital.
Whereas, There are a number of sections in the local laws of St.
Mary's County which concern payments to or on account of St.
Mary's Hospital and which should be repealed because the subject is
covered by more recent legislation; now, therefore
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 202 of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-title "St.
Mary's Hospital", be and it is hereby repealed; and that Section 202¼
of said Article and sub title, as enacted by Chapter 96 of the Acts of
1953, be and it is hereby repealed; and that Section 202½ of said
Article and sub-title, as enacted by Chapter 99 of 1953, be and it is
hereby repealed; and that Section 202¾ of said Article and sub-title,
as enacted by Chapter 40 of the Acts of 1955, be and it is hereby
repealed; and that Section 64A of said Article, sub-title "County
Commissioners", as enacted by Chapter 75 of the Acts of the Special
Session of 1948, be and it is hereby repealed, as follows:
[202. The Commissioners of St. Mary's County, Maryland, are
hereby authorized and directed to levy and pay to St. Mary's Hospital,
Leonardtown, Maryland, a sum of not more than one dollar and fifty
($1.50) per day for each and every indigent or free patient placed
in said hospital by the County Commissioners or their Clerk by
their authority.]
[202¼. The County Commissioners of St. Mary's County are
hereby authorized to make an annual appropriation, not to exceed
Seventy five Hundred Dollars ($7,500), to the St. Mary's Hospital
Inc., for the hire of a resident physician.]
[202½. The County Commissioners of St. Mary's County are
hereby authorized to make an appropriation, or appropriations, not
