dollar ($1.00) the rate of tax specified in paragraph (d) above shall
apply.
The tax shall be due and payable at the rates set forth herein on all
sales of taxable property or services delivered to the purchaser on
or after June 1, 1961.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary hereinabove in this sec-
tion, the rate of tax shall be as follows on the purchase of farm ve-
hicles and all farm equipment to be used to prepare the soil, plant
seeds, service growing crops and harvest crops, including (1) portable
elevators and conveyors, used to load harvested crops into storage
facilities on the farm, and (2) also including but not limited to power
spraying equipment, irrigation equipment and portable grain and
hay dryers, and (3) also but not limited to milking machines:
(1) On each sale where the price is from fifty-one cents (51¢) to
one dollar ($1.00), two cents (2¢)
(2) On each fifty cents (50¢) a price or fraction thereof in excess
of one dollar ($1.00), one cent (1¢)
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 530
(Senate Bill 523)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 172 (b)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Dorchester County Liquor
Control Board and Dispensary", amending the laws concerning
the net profits from the operation of the Dorchester County
Dispensary in order to change the provisions for payments to the
Cambridge, Maryland, Hospital, Inc.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 172(b) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Dor-
chester County Liquor Control Board and Dispensary", be and it
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
172.
(b) On or before February 15th in each and every year the County
Commissioners of Dorchester County [shall allocate to the Cam-
bridge, Maryland, Hospital, Inc., the sum of sixteen thousand dollars
($16,000.00) from the net proceeds paid to said Commissioners by
the liquor control board and in the event said proceeds do not amount
to sixteen thousand dollars ($16,000.00), then so much as is received
by said Commissioners.] may allocate and pay over to the Cambridge,
Maryland, Hospital, Inc., a sum in the discretion of the County
