(Senate Bill 67)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 343 and
345 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Caroline County being
Article 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, 1930
Edition, title "Caroline County", sub-title "Jurors", last amended

RAPHERS", TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY AFTER SECTION
32C THEREOF, TO PROVIDE FOR ONE ADDITIONAL JUDGE
OF THE CIRCUIT COURT FOR ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY
IN ADDITION TO THE JUDGES PRESENTLY AUTHORIZED
FOR THE COUNTY.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 32C of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Supplement), title "Courts", sub title "Circuit Courts for the

CountiesCourt Stenographer", be and it is hereby repealed and
re enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
THAT NEW SECTION 32CA BE AND IT IS HEREBY ADDED
TO ARTICLE 26 OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND
(1957 EDITION AND 1964 SUPPLEMENT), TITLE "COURTS",
SUB-TITLE "CIRCUIT COURTS FOR THE COUNTIES—COURT
STENOGRAPHERS", TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY AFTER
SECTION 32C THEREOF, AND TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

32C.

In addition to the [four] five judges for the fifth judicial circuit
for which provision now is made, there shall be [an] two
additional
[judge] judges who shall be [a resident] residents of
Anne Arundel
County. [This]
These [judge] judges shall be selected in the manner
provided by Section 5 of Article 4 of the Constitution of Maryland
and shall be subject to all the provisions of the Constitution and laws

relating to the fifth judicial circuit and the several judges thereof.

32CA. IN ADDITION TO THE THREE CIRCUIT COURT
JUDGES FOR ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, FOR WHICH PRO-
VISION NOW IS MADE, THERE SHALL BE ONE ADDITIONAL
JUDGE WHO SHALL ALSO BE A RESIDENT OF THE COUNTY.
THE JUDGES SO PROVIDED FOR THE COUNTY SHALL RE-
SIDE THEREIN, SHALL BE ELECTED BY THE DULY QUALI-
FIED VOTERS OF
THAT COUNTY SELECTED IN ACCORD-
ANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 3, 5, ARTICLE
IV OF THE CONSTITUTION OF MARYLAND, AND SHALL BE
SUBJECT TO ALL THE PROVISIONS OF THE CONSTITUTION
AND LAWS RELATING TO THE FIFTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT
AND THE SEVERAL JUDGES THEREOF.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1965.
