AN ACT to add a new Section 216A(j) to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Harford County (1957 Edition), being Article 13 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County",
sub-title "County Commissioners", to follow immediately after
Section 216A(i) thereof, as enacted by Chapter 540 of the Acts
of 1963, amending the law concerning the Board of Parks and
Recreation of Harford County and the powers of the County
Commissioners of Harford County in relation thereto in order to
provide that the County Commissioners may borrow funds for the
purposes of this section and may issue individual notes, bonds, or
other evidences of indebtedness for the repayment of the funds and
of interest thereon.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 216A(j) be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Harford County (1957 Edition), being Article
13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford
County", sub-title "County Commissioners", to follow immediately
after Section 216A(i) thereof, as enacted by Chapter 540 of the
Acts of 1963, and to read as follows :
216A.
(j) The County Commissioners may borrow funds for the purposes
of this section and issue individual notes, bonds or other evidences of
indebtedness for the repayment of the funds and of interest thereon.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 465
(Senate Bill 180)
AN ACT to add a new Section 216A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Harford County (1957 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County", sub-title
"County Commissioners", to follow immediately after Section 216
thereof and to be under the new sub-heading "County Tree",
providing that the flowering dogwood shall be the official tree of
Harford County.
Whereas, The flowering dogwood tree is a well known and very
popular tree in Harford County.
The beauty of this tree is unexcelled. With its white blossoms in
the spring, its shapely greenery during the summer months, and its
red berries in the fall, it enriches the beauty and environment of
Harford County.
