tion 11 (b) in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the section
repealed, to provide that in Harford County the State's Attorney
rather than counsel to the County Commissioners shall act as
counsel to a petitioner for support when she has no funds to em-
ploy personal counsel, and rewording the subsection in general.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 11 (b) of Article 89C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Support of Dependents,"
subtitle "Civil Enforcement," be and it is hereby repealed, and that
new Section 11 (b) be and it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to
stand in the place of the section so repealed, and all to read as follows:
11.
(b) In the event the Petitioner makes oath that she is without
sufficient funds to obtain personal counsel, it shall be the duty of the
counsel to the county commissioners to act without charge to the
petitioner on her behalf; provided, however, that in Baltimore City,
Baltimore County, Harford County, Wicomico and Worcester Coun-
ties, the State's Attorney shall act as the petitioner's counsel in such
instance.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965 1966.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 533 of
the Charter and Public Local Laws of Baltimore City (1949
Edition), being Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Baltimore City," subtitle "Police Commissioner,"
subheading "Organization of Force," said section having been
enacted in lieu of former Section 533, said former Section 533
having been repealed by Chapter 455 of the Acts of 1951 and new
Section 533 enacted in lieu thereof by said Chapter 455 of the
Acts of 1951, providing for payment of compensation to police
officers of the Police Department of Baltimore City for off-duty
time spent as witnesses in any court within this State in connection
with official duties.
