SEC. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT NOTHING
IN THIS ACT SHALL BE CONSTRUED TO REPEAL ANY PRO-
VISION OF ANY OTHER ACT OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY
OF 1965 (SENATE BILL 570) SPECIFICALLY RELATING TO
THE METHOD OF APPOINTMENT OF THE MEMBERS OF
THE MARYLAND NATIONAL CAPITAL PARK AND PLAN-
NING COMMISSION FROM PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY.

Sec. 2 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 434
(House Bill 825)

AN ACT to add ten new sections to Article 77 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1964 Supplement), title
"Public Education," subtitle "Chapter 26. University of Maryland,"
said new sections to be known as Sections 259K to 259T, inclusive,
of said Article and to follow immediately after Section 259J of
said Article, authorizing the University of Maryland to construct,
equip, maintain, repair and operate one or more dormitories to
provide additional housing facilities, living accommodations and
facilities, to impose fees, rents and charges for the use thereof,
AND FOR THE USE OF SIMILAR EXISTING FACILITIES
UNDER ITS DIRECTION AND CONTROL, and authorizing
the University of Maryland to issue revenue bonds to pay
the cost of all or any part of such project or projects, the
principal thereof and the interest thereon to be payable from the
fees, rents and charges for the use of dormitories under the con-
trol of said University, and providing that said bonds shall not
be deemed to constitute a debt of the State or of any political sub-
division thereof or a pledge of the faith and credit of the State
or any political subdivision thereof, and relating generally to ad-
ditional dormitories and the issuance of revenue bonds to pay
the cost of all or any part of the same.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 259K to 259T, inclusive, be and they are hereby added
to Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and
1964 Supplement), title "Public Education," subtitle "Chapter 26.
University of Maryland," said new sections to follow immediately
after Section 259J of said Article, and to read as follows:

259K.

As used in Sections 259K—259T, inclusive, in this subtitle, the
following words and terms shall have the following meaning, unless
the context shall indicate a different meaning or intent:

(1) The word "resolution" shall mean a resolution adopted by a
majority of the members of the Board of Regents of the University
of Maryland:
