CHAPTER 379
(House Bill 245)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 304 (b) of
Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Supplement),
title "Public Education," subtitle "Chapter 31. Community Col-
leges," amending the law concerning community colleges in this
State in order to increase the State's contribution for each FULL-
TIME student at any community college.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 304 (b) of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Supplement), title "Public Education," subtitle "Chapter 31.
Community Colleges," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
304.
(b) Beginning for the State's fiscal year which commences on
July 1, [1963] 1966, the Governor shall place in the State budget an
item to pay the State's one-third share to each of the community
colleges operating under this subtitle. Until that time, State aid to
these colleges shall be as provided in the budget. In either event It
shall not exceed the sum of [two hundred and twenty-five dollars
($225.00)] three hundred dollars ($300.00) for each FULL-TIME
student at any community college. The State Superintendent of
Schools shall certify to the State Comptroller on or before the last
day of both September and March in each year one half of the annual
amount which is due the local board of trustees of each community
college and thereupon the Comptroller within five days shall draw
his warrant on the Treasurer of the State of Maryland for the re-
spective amounts due the said local boards of trustees; and the
Treasurer of the State of Maryland upon receiving such warrants
shall immediately pay the amounts due to the respective local boards
of trustees.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 238 of
Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title
"Licenses," subtitle "Junk Dealers," to exclude Prince George's
and Montgomery FREDERICK, MONTGOMERY, PRINCE
GEORGE'S AND TALBOT Counties from the exceptions contained
therein.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 238 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
