Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall not affect the
salary of the County Treasurer of Harford County for the term of
office existing on the effective date of this Act.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That subject to the provisions
of Section 2, this Act shall take effect June 1, 1965.

(House Bill 1079)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 91
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County (1957
Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Harford County," subtitle "Auctioneers"; pro-
viding for annual renewal of resident and non-resident auctioneers'
licenses in Harford County, bonds of non-resident auctioneers,
fees, and penalties.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 91 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford
County (1957 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County," subtitle "Auctioneers,"
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
91.
It shall be unlawful for any person to pursue the business or
avocation of an Auctioneer in Harford County without first obtaining
from the Clerk of the Circuit Court for said County a license
therefor, [said Clerk to issue said license upon payment of the
sum of $12.50, which shall be paid by the said Clerk to the Board of
Education of Harford County for the use of public schools of said
County, after retaining therefrom the sum of 50¢ for issuing said
license; any] Such license shall be renewable annually on July
1st of each year, and the annual fee therefor shall be $25.00 for
a resident of Harford County and $50.00 for a non-resident of
Harford County. No Auctioneer's license shall be issued to a non-
resident of Harford County, unless such non-resident applicant has
also filed with the Clerk of the Circuit Court, his bond in the
amount of $2000.00, to the county for the use and benefit of any
person, firm, or corporation dealing with him as Auctioneer, and
conditional on his proper accounting, payment, and delivery of any
monies or property entrusted to his care and possession while acting
as an Auctioneer. Such bond shall also be executed by a corporate
surety licensed to do business in Maryland. Any person violating
this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction
thereof shall be fined not more than $100.00, said fine to be paid
to the said Board of Education of Harford County, for the use of
the public schools of said County.
