(House Bill 985)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 9 (11)
and (40) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), title "Revenue and Taxes," subtitle "What Shall Be Taxed
and Where," to provide an exemption from assessment and taxation
for county purposes in Baltimore County of livestock and farming
implements of a farmer.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 9 (11) and (40) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Revenue and Taxes," subtitle
"What Shall Be Taxed and Where," be and they are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(11) Fifteen hundred dollars in value of the farming implements
of any farmer. Notwithstanding the provisions of this subsection, in
Baltimore County, farm implements shall be exempt from assessment
and taxation for county purposes.
(40) For purposes of county taxation in Wicomico County only,
livestock not being held for a longer period than six months, com-
monly known as "feeder" stock. For the purposes of county taxation
in Baltimore County only, all livestock shall be exempt from assess-
ment and taxation.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1965.

AN ACT to add new Section 77H to Article 19 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County,"
to follow immediately after Section 77G thereof, as added by
Chapter 759 of the Acts of 1957 and to be under the new subtitle
"Flag," establishing an official St. Mary's County Flag and specify-
ing the appearance thereof.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 77H be and it is hereby added to Article 19 of the
