CHAPTER 333
(House Bill 451)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 6 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Howard County (1957 Edition, being
Article 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Howard County," subtitle "Building Regulations," as added by
Chapter 131 of the Acts of 1951; relating generally to the sub-
mission of all applications for building permits to the Planning
Commission of Howard County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Howard County
(1957 Edition, being Article 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland), title "Howard County," subtitle "Building Regula-
tions," as added by Chapter 131 of the Acts of 1951; be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted to read as follows:

The Buildings Engineer of Howard County shall supervise the
erection, construction, repair, alteration, remodeling, removal and
demolition, of all buildings or structures, or parts thereof, in Howard
County, shall deliver to the Supervisor of Assessments of Howard
County, or such other assessing official as the County Commissioners
may from time to time designate, a copy of all applications for build-
ing permits, shall co-operate fully with the zoning authorities of
Howard County, shall submit all applications for building permits to
the planning authorities of Howard County, shall supervise, execute
and enforce compliance with all rules and regulations of the County
Commissioners of Howard County adopted under the authority of
this subtitle, and shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed
by law or by the County Commissioners aforesaid not inconsistent
with this subtitle. The Building Inspectors of Howard County shall,
under the direction of the Buildings Engineer, perform such duties as
he may require of them in connection with the building laws, rules
or regulations of Howard County.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

(House Bill 494)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 98 of
Article 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Caroline County," subtitle "County Commis-
sioners," as said section was last amended by Chapter 1021 of the
Acts of 1945, increasing the compensation of the County Commis-
sioners and making provision for the effect of this Act.
