(House Bill 353)
AN ACT to repeal Section 151 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Howard County (1957 Edition, being Article 14 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Howard County," subtitle
"Orphans' Court," repealing an obsolete section relating to com-
pensation of the Orphans' Court Judges in Howard County which
has been superseded by the Annotated Code.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 151 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Howard
County (1957 Edition, being Article 14 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Howard County," subtitle "Orphans'
Court," be and it is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT THIS ACT
SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED TO AFFECT THE SALARIES
FOR THE TERMS OF OFFICE EXISTING ON THE EFFECTIVE
DATE OF THE ACT, BUT SHALL TAKE EFFECT COM-
MENCING WITH THE TERMS OF OFFICE TO WHICH THE
JUDGES OF THE ORPHANS' COURT OF HOWARD COUNTY
SHALL BE ELECTED IN NOVEMBER, 1966.
Sec. 2. SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 548 of
the Charter and Public Local Laws of Baltimore City (1949
Edition, being Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Police Commissioner," subtitle "Miscellaneous," pro-
viding that the Police Commissioner of Baltimore City shall be
subject to the provisions of the Baltimore City Charter relating to
purchasing, accounting and disbursement of funds appropriated
to the Police Department of Baltimore City in the Ordinance of
Estimates of Baltimore City.
AN ACT TO ADD A NEW SECTION 548A TO THE CODE OF
PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF BALTIMORE CITY (1949 EDI-
TION, BEING ARTICLE 4 OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL
LAWS OF MARYLAND), TITLE "BALTIMORE CITY," SUB-
TITLE "POLICE COMMISSIONER," SUBHEADING "MISCEL-
LANEOUS," TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY AFTER SECTION
548 THEREOF, PROVIDING THAT THE POLICE COMMIS-
SIONER AND THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF BALTIMORE
CITY SHALL BE SUBJECT TO ALL THE GENERAL PRO-
VISIONS CONCERNING PURCHASING, ACCOUNTING AND
THE DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS CONTAINED IN THE
BALTIMORE CITY CHARTER.
