Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 295
(House Bill 39)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 2, 4, 6,
7, 8 and 9 of Article 89C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), title "Support of Dependents," subtitles, respectively,
"General Provisions," "Criminal Enforcement," and "Civil En-
forcement;" to recodify and re-number Sections 10, 11, 13, 14,
15, 16, 17, 21, 22 and 23 of the said Article of the Code (1957
Edition and 1964 Supplement), subtitle "Civil Enforcement,"
respectively, as Sections 11, 14, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 37 and 39
thereof, Sections 37 and 39 thereof to be under the new subtitle
"Registration of Foreign Support Orders"; to repeal and re-
enact, with amendments, as recodified and re-numbered, Sections
11, 14, 23, 25 and 29 of the said Article and subtitle of the Code;
to repeal Sections 12, 18, 19, and 20 of the said Article and
subtitle of the Code (1957 Edition) and to enact in lieu thereof
new Sections 12, 18, 19 and 20, to stand in the place of the Sections
so repealed; to add, respectively, new Sections 10, 13, 15, 16, 17,
21, 22, 28, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 and 38 to the said Article
of the Code, subtitle "Civil Enforcement," to follow, respectively,
immediately after Sections 9, 12, 14, 20, 27, 29 and 37 thereof,
Sections 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 and 38 thereof to be under the
new subtitle "Registration of Foreign Support Orders," to revise
the Maryland Uniform Reciprocal Enforcement of Support Act,
to provide for registration of foreign support orders, and relating
generally to enforcement of support in this and other states.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 2, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of Article 89C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Support of Dependents,"
subtitles, respectively, "General Provisions," "Criminal Enforce-
ment," and "Civil Enforcement" be and they are hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments; and that Sections 10,11,13, 14, 15, 16,
17, 21, 22 and 23 of the said Article of the Code (1957 Edition and
1964 Supplement), subtitle "Civil Enforcement," be and they are
hereby recodified and re-numbered, respectively, as Sections 11, 14,
23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 37 and 39 thereof, Sections 37 and 39 thereof
to be under the new subtitle "Registration of Foreign Support
Orders," and that Sections 11, 14, 23, 25 and 29 of the said Article
and subtitle of the Code, be and they are hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, as recodified and re-numbered; and that
Sections 12, 18, 19 and 20 of the said Article and subtitle of the
Code (1957 Edition), be and they are hereby repealed, and that
new Sections 12, 18, 19 and 20 be and they are hereby enacted in
lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the Sections so repealed; and
that new Sections 10, 13, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 28, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34,
35, 36 and 38 be and they are hereby added to the said Article of the
