AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 6 (1) of
Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement
Volume), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitle "Civil Jurisdiction,"
to increase the monetary jurisdiction of trial magistrates in Kent
County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 6 (1) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Replacement Volume), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitle
"Civil Jurisdiction," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

(1) Trial magistrates of Kent County shall have civil jurisdiction
in all cases hereinabove mentioned in this section, instituted after
June 1, [1957] 1965, and involving amounts not exceeding [four
hundred dollars ($400.)] seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750.00).
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to add new Section 44A to the Code of Public Local Laws of
Kent County (1959 Edition, being Article 15 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Kent County," to follow immedi-
ately after Section 44 thereof, to create a Board of Parks and
Recreation, define the membership, powers and duties of said
Board and relating generally to the powers of the County Com-
missioners of Kent County and to the Board of Parks and
Recreation with respect to the subject of parks and recreation
in that county.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 44A be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Kent County (1959 Edition, being Article 15 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Kent County," to
follow immediately after Section 44 thereof, and to read as follows:
