County Commissioners of Kent County to borrow a sum of money
for the purpose of constructing a new jail house, and renovations
to Court House.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 123A of the Code of Public Local Laws of Kent County
(1959 Edition, being Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Kent County," subtitle "County Commissioners,"
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

123A.

The County Commissioners of Kent County are hereby authorized
in their discretion to borrow a sum not to exceed five hundred thou-
sand dollars ($500,000.00) from any bank or trust company for the
purpose of renovations of and additions to the Court House, for
renovation of and additions to the County Office Building, and con-
struction of a new county jail.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 288
(House Bill 788)

AN ACT to add new Section 175A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Calvert County (1963 Edition, being Article 5 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Calvert County," to follow
immediately after Section 175 thereof, and to be under the new
subtitle "Garbage and Trash," to empower the County Commis-
sioners of Calvert County to promulgate rules and regulations with
the advice of the County Health Department to control, license,
designate, and regulate the collection, disposal and hauling of
garbage and trash in said County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 175A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Calvert County (1963 Edition, being Article 5
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Calvert
County," to follow immediately after Section 175 thereof, and to be
under the new subtitle "Garbage and Trash," and to read as follows:

175 A.

The County Commissioners of Calvert County are authorized and
empowered to adopt and promulgate rules and regulations, with the
advice of the County Health Department, to control, license, designate
and regulate the collection and disposal of garbage and trash includ-
ing the vehicles to be used and the standards to be met for the
collection and disposal thereof in Calvert County.
