AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 10 (c) of
Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement
Volume), title "Juries," subtitle "Qualification and Selection of
Jurors," changing the apportionment of jurors among the several
election districts of Montgomery County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 10 (c) of Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Replacement Volume), title "Juries," subtitle "Qualification
and Selection of Jurors," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

(c) In Montgomery County, after the foreman of the grand jury
shall have been selected, the remaining 499 names shall be used for
drawing a set of not less than 125 nor more than 200 names, who
shall serve as jurors during the term of court for which they are
chosen and until the beginning of the next regular jury term. A box
of the form aforesaid shall be procured and of convenient size, and
said box shall be divided into as many compartments as there may
be election districts in said county, shall be numbered to correspond
with the election districts in said county, and the names of the per-
sons selected as aforesaid shall be placed by the said judges in the
said compartments of said box, respectively, which bear the number
of election districts where the persons so selected, respectively reside,
and there shall then be drawn in the number hereinbefore provided
for the other counties. If [125] 200 names are drawn, they shall be
drawn as follows: [seven] one name[s] from compartment No. 1,
[seven] two names from No. 2, [seven] one name[s] from No. 3,
[fourteen] twenty-two names from No. 4, [nine] twelve names from
No. 5, [five] two names from No. 6, [twenty] forty-nine names from
No. 7, [seven] three names from No. 8, [nine] five names from No. 9,
[eight] three names from No. 10, [six] one name[s] from No. 11,
[six] three names from No. 12, and [twenty] ninety-six names from
No. 13. If [more] less than [125] 200 names are drawn, they shall
be drawn in approximately the same ratio. No names which may be
so drawn to serve as a regular juror in Montgomery County of any
term of court shall be replaced in said box for a period of two years
thereafter.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.
