Section 332 of said Article, subtitle "Hillsboro"; that Section 420
of said Article, subtitle "Marydel"; that Section 41 of the Charter
of the Town of Ridgely in said Code, subtitle "Ridgely," as said
section was revised by Chapter 548 of the Acts of 1937; that Section
17 of the Charter of the Town of Templeville in said Code, as said
section was amended by Chapter 584 of the Acts of 1947, be and
they are hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 231
(House Bill 3)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 16 and 17 of Article 15 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Bounding Lands;" to
repeal Section 179 of Article 23 of the said Code, title "Corpora-
tions," subtitle "III. Particular Classes of Corporations," sub-
heading "Mining Companies;" to repeal Sections 16, 17 and 20 of
Article 75 of the said Code (1957 Edition and 1964 Supplement),
title "Pleadings, Practice and Process at Law," subtitle "Practice,"
subheading "Arbitration and Award;" to repeal Sections 282
through 284, inclusive, of Article 93 of the said Code (1957 Edi-
tion), title "Testamentary Law," subtitle "Orphans' Court;" to
repeal Sections 1 through 5, inclusive, of Article 7 of the said Code,
title "Arbitration and Award" and to enact new Sections 1 through
23, inclusive, in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the sections
repealed; to repeal provisions for arbitration in the laws of
Maryland inconsistent with the Uniform Arbitration Act, to adopt
the Uniform Arbitration Act with some changes, to provide for
enforcement of written agreements to submit existing and future
controversies to arbitration, to provide for court proceedings to
compel or stay arbitration pursuant to written agreements, to
provide procedures by which arbitration may be had in this State
and for vacation, modification, correction or confirmation of awards
and for entries of judgment or decree under arbitration, and to
relate generally to regulation of arbitration in the State.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 16 and 17 of Article 15 of the Annotated Code of
