(House Bill 676)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 3 (a) of
Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Supplement),
title "County Commissioners," subtitle "General Provisions," to
increase the powers of the County Commissioners of St. Mary's
County by granting to them certain enumerated powers and relat-
ing generally to the powers of the County Commissioners in St.
Mary's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 3 (a) of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Supplement), title "County Commissioners," subtitle "General
Provisions," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

(a) The county commissioners of each county in this State, ex-
cept Worcester, Kent, Caroline, (except as hereinbelow provided),
Allegany, except as specifically provided in Subsection (s), Prince
George's, Washington, Somerset, Dorchester, Baltimore, Anne Arun-
del, Cecil, Charles, Howard, Frederick[,] and Queen Anne's [and
St. Mary's] Counties, in addition to, but not in substitution of, the
powers which have been or may hereafter be granted them, shall have
the following express powers:

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 45 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1963 Edition, being
Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Allegany County," subtitle "County Commissioners," to increase
the compensation of the County Commissioners of Allegany County
effective with the next term of office.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 45 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany County
(1963 Edition, being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Allegany County," subtitle "County Commis-
sioners," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
