immorality upon charges furnished in writing by the Board setting
forth the grounds for dismissal and after opportunity for a hearing.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That as of June 1, 1965, the
Secretary of the Board of Public Works, if he has been in this
position for at least six months prior to June 1, 1965, shall become
the Secretary provided for under this Act. Thereafter, he shall be
subject to the provisions of this Act as they may be amended from
time to time.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1965.

(House Bill 87)
AN ACT to repeal Section 696 (i) of Article 66C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1964 Supplement), title "Natural Resources,"
subtitle "Oysters and Clams," and to enact a new Section 696 (i)
in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the section so repealed,
re-enacting certain laws concerning natural oyster bars, and
planting of oysters thereon, and the taking of oysters therefrom
in order to resolve possible doubts about the provisions of this
section, with particular respect to the definition of a natural
oyster bar AND MAKING FURTHER PROVISION FOR THE
EFFECT OF THIS ACT UPON ANY OTHER LAW OR PART
OF LAW NOT SPECIFICALLY REFERRED TO HEREIN; AND
MAKING A CORRECTION IN THIS SECTION.
Whereas, In the most recent enactment of Section 696 (i) of
Article 66C of the Code a second paragraph thereof inadvertently
was omitted; and
Whereas, It was not the intention of the General Assembly to
omit this paragraph and the entire section should be re-enacted in
order to remove any doubts about its wording and effect; now,
therefore;
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 696 (i) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1964 Supplement), title "Natural Resources," subtitle
"Oyster and Clams," be and it is hereby repealed; and that a new
Section 696 (i) be and it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand
in the place of the section so repealed, and to read as follows:

(i) Any submerged oyster bar, reef, rock or area represented as
an oyster bar on the charts of the Oyster Survey of 1906 to 1912,
or amendments thereto, or any such area which has been or shall
have been declared by any circuit court to be a natural oyster bar,
