TRANSFER, MUST DISTRIBUTE ASSETS, INCLUDING CASH,
HAVING AN AGGREGATE FAIR MARKET VALUE AT THE
DATE OR DATES OF DISTRIBUTION AMOUNTING TO NO
LESS THAN THE AMOUNT OF SUCH BEQUEST, DEVISE OR
TRANSFER AS FINALLY DETERMINED FOR FEDERAL
ESTATE TAX PURPOSES.

(B) (C) THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL APPLY
TO THE ESTATES OF ALL DECEDENTS DYING ON OR AFTER
OCTOBER 1, 1964.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1965. and shall apply to estates of decedents dying on or
after October 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 919
(House Bill 116)

AN ACT to add new Section 219 (f) to Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Licenses,"
subtitle "Real Estate Brokers," to follow immediately after Section
219 (e) thereof, providing that certain acts by non-resident real
estate brokers or salesmen shall constitute an irrevocable consent
to suit in Maryland by substituted service on the secretary of the
Real Estate Commission.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 219 (f) be and it is hereby added to Article 56 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title
"Licenses," subtitle "Real Estate Brokers," to follow immediately
after Section 219 (e) thereof, and to read as follows:

219.

(f) Whenever a non-resident broker or salesman, whether or
not licensed in Maryland, participates or divides fees or holds deposits
in any real estate transaction in Maryland, such act shall of itself
constitute an irrevocable consent, as to causes of action arising out
of such transaction, to the same full effect as the consent required
to be filed by non-resident applicants for a Maryland license.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.
