p.m. Friday and 6:00 p.m. Sunday, each such period to constitute
two days of the sentence imposed, provided however the offense
leading to such conviction shall permit confinement in the County
or City Jail and the total sentence imposed by the Judge shall not
exceed thirty (80) days.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965 and be applicable only to such sentences as may be
imposed after the date of its effect.

AN ACT to add a new Section to the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County (1963 Edition), being Article 17 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's
County," subtitle "Crimes and Punishments," to be known as Sec-
tion 21-4 "Record of Sale or Gift of Certain Motor Vehicle Parts,"
to follow immediately after Section 21-3 thereof, making it unlaw-
ful to sell, give or donate parts of a motor vehicle bearing a manu-
facturer's serial or identification number without making a
memorandum of such transaction.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Prince George's County (1963 Edition), being Article
17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince
George's County," subtitle "Crimes and Punishments," to be known as
Section 21-4 "Record of Sale or Gift of Certain Motor Vehicle Parts,"
to follow immediately after Section 21-3 thereof, making it unlawful
to sell, give or donate parts of a motor vehicle bearing a manufacturer's
serial or identification number without making a memorandum of
such transaction and to read as follows:
21-4. Record of Sale or Gift of Certain Motor Vehicle Parts.
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to sell, give
or donate to another person, firm or corporation, any motor block, read
REAR end housing, transmission, automobile radio, OR heater, gener-
ator, starter, rubber tire, or tires or other part or parts of a motor ve-
hicle bearing a manufacturer's serial or identification number without
making a memorandum of such transaction setting forth the date of
transaction, the name and address of the purchaser, grantee or donee,
a description of the article and the manufacturer's serial number or
other identification number, which memorandum shall be retained
by the seller, grantor or donor for a period of six (6) months. Should
any of the articles enumerated hereinabove have its manufacturer's
serial number or other identification number removed therefrom or
obliterated, it shall be the duty of the seller, grantor or donor to report
the sale or gift of such article within ten (10) days thereof to the
Prince George's County Police Department, which shall retain a file
