Sec 2. And be it further enacted. That all laws or parts of laws,
public general or public local, inconsistent with the provisions of this
Act are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 879
(House Bill 125)

AN ACT to add a new section to the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County (1963 Everstine Edition), said new section
to be known as Section 21-2 to follow immediately after Section
21-1 of said Code, entitled "Crimes and Punishments," said Act
to be subtitled "Drinking in Public" and to prohibit in Prince
George's County the drinking or consumption of alcoholic beverages
or intoxicating liquors in or upon any street, alley, or public high-
way, or thoroughfare or while occupying any vehicle or motor
vehicle in or upon any street, alley, public highway, or thorough-
fare located in said county; and to provide penalties for the violation
of this section.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be known as Section 21-2, subtitled "Drinking
in Public," to follow immediately after Section 21-1, entitled "Crimes
and Punishments" of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County. Said section to read as follows:

21-2. Drinking in Public.

It shall be unlawful for any person to drink any alcoholic beverage
or intoxicating liquor in public, on or upon any street, alley, public
highway, or thoroughfare or while the occupant of any vehicle or
any motor vehicle located on any street, alley, public highway, or
thoroughfare in Prince George's County.

Any person violating the provisions of this section shall upon
conviction thereof be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be
punished by a fine of not less than ten dollars ($10.00), nor more
than fifty dollars ($50.00) or confinement in a, THE county jail for not
less than ten (10) days nor more than thirty (30) days or both such
fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the committing TRIAL
judge.

Sec. 2. Be it further enacted, That the effective date of this Act
shall be June 1, 1965.
