mechanical dredges by boat in those areas of Pocomoke and Tangier
Sounds in which clamming is authorized under this Article, upon
obtaining a hard shell clam dredging license as provided herein.
(b) Such a license may be issued upon application to the Depart-
ment of Chesapeake Bay Affairs for the license. The applicant shall
furnish on the application such information as the Department by
regulation may require.
(c) Upon receipt of an application and a fee of $10.00, the De-
partment is authorized to issue the license.
(d) The Department is authorized to adopt and to modify regu-
lations governing the type, number and size of dredges used AND
GOVERNING THOSE AREAS IN WHICH THE SAID DREDGES
CAN BE OPERATED.
(e) It is unlawful to take or catch clams between sunset and
sunrise or on Sundays.
(f) The season for taking hard shell clams by dredge under this
section extends from October 1 in each year to April 30 of the year
following, both dates inclusive.
(g) The provisions of paragraphs (7), (8) and (9) of Section
712 (f) of this Article are applicable to licensees under this Section
712A and to the taking or catching of hard shell clams under this
Section 712A.
(H) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER RULE OR REGU-
LATION IT SHALL BE LAWFUL TO HAVE TWO DREDGES
ABOARD ANY BOAT PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT NOT
MORE THAN ONE DREDGE MAY BE IN OPERATION AT ANY
GIVEN TIME.
(I) IT SHALL BE ILLEGAL FOR THERE TO BE ANY
OYSTERS ABOARD ANY BOAT WHEN A DREDGE IS ABOARD
THE SAID BOAT.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965 AUTOMATICALLY AND WITH NO FURTHER
ACTION REQUIRED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY THIS ACT
SHALL EXPIRE ON MAY 31, 1967.

Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "I. Crimes and Punish-
ments," subheading "Barratry; Practice of Law by Corporation,"
to allow corporate officers to represent their respective corpora-
tions before a justice of the peace and in the People's Courts and
PROVIDING THAT THIS SECTION SHALL NOT BE CON-
STRUED OR APPLIED TO PREVENT AN OFFICER OF A
