(f) The practice of land surveying within the meaning and intent
of this article includes surveying of areas for their correct deter-
mination and description and for conveyancing, [or] for the estab-
lishment, [or] for the re-establishment of land boundaries and the
plotting of lands and subdivisions thereof. The plotting of lands and
subdivisions may include topography and contours, setting grades
and determining drainage of streets and roads, and providing for
[small drainage structures.] storm drainage systems where such
systems do not require the structural design of system components
and are restricted to the use, where relevant, of any standards as
may be prescribed by local or state authorities.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

(House Bill 722)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 196, 197, 198, 199, 200, 201, 202 and 203
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington County (1957
Edition, being Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Washington County," subtitle "County Com-
missioners," Sections 196 and 202 thereof having been respectively
last amended by Chapter 464 of the Acts of 1963 and Chapter 240
of the Acts of 1961; and to enact a new Section 196 in lieu thereof,
to stand in the place of the sections so repealed, to revise provisions
for appropriations by the County Commissioners of Washington
County for specified non-profit organizations in the county and
to establish the procedure whereby other organizations may re-
ceive funds from the county.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 196, 197, 198, 199, 200, 201, 202 and 203 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Washington County (1957 Edition, being
Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Washington County," subtitle "County Commissioners," Sections
196 and 202 thereof having been respectively last amended by Chap-
ter 464 of the Acts of 1963 and Chapter 240 of the Acts of 1961, be
and they are hereby repealed; that a new Section 196 be and it is
hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the sections so
repealed, and all to read as follows:

196.

(a) The County Commissioners are authorized to contribute an-
nually to the care, operation, maintenance, or capital expense of the
following non-profit organizations in Washington County, providing
said amount is included in the regular annual budget of Washington
County for that fiscal year.
