AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 86 (d)
and 105 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Hours and Days
for Sales," changing the closing time for bars and other alcoholic
beverage dispensaries in Washington County; and to repeal and re-
enact, with amendments, Section 3 of Article 94 of said Code (1964
Replacement Volume) title "Time," removing a Washington
County exemption under the daylight saving time provisions to
enable said provisions to apply to the regulatory hours for bars
and other alcoholic beverage dispensaries.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 86 (d) and 105 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle Hours
and Days for Sale," be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

(d) In Washington County, this section shall be applicable from
[12 o'clock midnight] 1 o'clock A.M. to 6 o'clock A.M. [on the fol-
lowing day,] and in all other respects as hereinabove provided.
105.
In Washington County the hours during which the privilege con-
ferred by every class of on-sale license may be exercised shall be
from 6 A.M. to [12 midnight] 1 o'clock A.M. the following day;
provided, however, that nothing in this section shall apply to holders
of Class E Licenses.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 3 of Article 94
of said Code (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Time," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

Whenever any county, city, town or other political subdivision of
this State shall have adopted daylight saving time, or any other
variation from the standard time specified in this article, such time
shall, notwithstanding the other provisions of this article, be effective
in such county, city, town or other political subdivision during the
period provided for in the ordinance or resolution establishing and
adopting such daylight saving time or other time, and all courts,
public offices, and legal and official proceedings in such county,
city, town or other political subdivision shall conform to and be
regulated thereby. Whenever any public general or public local law
or ordinance shall prescribe and fix any time for the opening and
closing of offices, filing of papers of any kind, or of any other activity,
or shall prescribe the opening and/or closing hours of any business
or business activities, such hours shall conform to the time so adopted
by any county, city, town or other political subdivision of this State,
