Commission," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

(b) The Commission shall elect one of its members as Chairman,
and shall appoint, discharge at pleasure and fix the compensation of
a secretary-treasurer, a chief engineer and such engineering, legal,
clerical and other personnel and help, as from time to time the Com-
mission may deem necessary to carry out the provisions of this
subtitle. The annual salary of each of said Commissioners shall
be as follows: The Chairman shall receive an annual salary of
[Seven hundred Fifty ($750.00 Dollars] One thousand two hundred
($1,200.00) Dollars, payable [semi-annually] monthly; the other
members shall receive an annual salary of [Five Hundred Dollars
($500.00)] eight hundred ($800.00) Dollars, payable [semi-annually]
monthly.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

(House Bill 272)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 3 of
Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Workmen's Compensation," subtitle "Work-
men's Compensation Commission," increasing the compensation
of the Chairman and of the other members of the Workmen's
Compensation Commission.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 3 of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Replacement Volume), title "Workmen's Compensation," sub-
title "Workmen's Compensation Commission," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

The chairman of the Workmen's Compensation Commission of
Maryland shall receive a salary of [fifteen thousand five hundred
dollars ($15,500)] seventeen thousand five hundred dollars
($17,500) per annum and each of the other members shall receive a
salary of [fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000)] seventeen thousand
dollars ($17,000) per annum.
In addition to the salary provided in this section each Commis-
sioner shall be allowed his actual necessary traveling and incidental
expenses.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1965.
