Senate Bill No. 15—By the President:

Subject: "INTERRACIAL COMMISSION," subtitle "DISCRIMINA-
TION IN PUBLIC ACCOMMODATIONS," CONCERNING THE EN-
FORCEMENT POWERS OF THE INTERRACIAL COMMISSION.

Amendments to Senate Bill No. 15
By Senator Hepbron, from the floor:

Amendment No. 17—In line 4 of the title of the printed bill, after the
word "repealed" add the following: "and re-enact with amendments;"
and strike out all of lines 10 and 11 and insert in lieu thereof the fol-
lowing: "effective within Kent County".

Withdrawn.

Amendment No. 18—In line 6 of Section 1 on page 1 of the printed
bill, immediately preceding the word "and" add the following: "be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendment" and in line 7 strike
out the words "they are" and insert in lieu thereof the words "it is".

Withdrawn.

Amendment No. 19—In lines 14 and 19 respectively of Section 11 on
page 2 of the printed bill strike out the bold faced brackets, and in line 16
strike out the word "Kent".

Withdrawn.

Amendment No. 20—In lines 1 and 6 of Section 16 on page 2 of the
printed bill, strike out respectively the bold faced brackets, and in line 2
strike out the word "Kent,".

Withdrawn.

Senator Hepbron, then offered the following new amendments, from
the floor.

Amendments to Senate Bill No. 15
By Senator Hepbron, from the floor:

Amendment No. 17—In line 4 of the title of the printed bill, imme-
diately following the word "repeal" insert the following: "and re-enact,
with amendments"; and in line 11 immediately following the word
"County" add the following: "; and continuing the exemption from these
subtitles for Kent County".

Amendment No. 18—In line 6 of Section 1 on page 1 of the printed bill,
immediately following the word "Commission'", strike out the word
"and" and insert in lieu thereof the following: "be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and that"; and in line 7 strike out
the following: "they are" and insert in lieu thereof the following: "it is".

Amendment No. 19—In line 19 of Section 11 on page 2 of the printed
bill, immediately following the bracket, add the following: "Nothing in this
section applies to or within the limits of Kent County."                           :
