Amendment No. 3—In lines 9, 10 and 11 of the title of the printed
bill, strike out the following: "in order to make these laws State-wide
in effect; and also to repeal present provisions for a referendum election
on the effect of these laws in Carroll County", and insert in lieu thereof
the following: "and continuing the exemption from these subtitles for
Dorchester and Worcester Counties".

Amendment No. 4—In lines 6 and 7 of Section 1 on page 1 of the
printed bill, strike out the following "and Section 2 of Chapter 228 of the
Acts of 1963, be and they are hereby repealed,", and insert in lieu thereof
the following: "be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments,".

Amendment No. 5—In line 14 of Section 11 on page 2 of the printed
bill, strike out the bracket; and in lines 14, 15, 16 and 17 therein, strike
out the following: "Nothing in this section shall apply to or within the
limits of Calvert, Caroline, Dorchester, Garrett, Kent, Queen Anne's,
St. Mary's, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico, and Worcester counties.", and
insert in lieu thereof the following:

"Nothing in this section applies to or within the limits of Dorchester
and Worcester Counties."
