House Bill No. 5—By the Anne Arundel County Delegation:

A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal Section 40(c) of Article 10 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1963 Supplement), title "Attorneys at Law
and Attorneys in Fact," subtitle "State's Attorney," and to enact a new
Section 40 (c) in lieu thereof to stand in the place of the section so re-
pealed, providing for a personal expense allowance and the payment of
additional compensation for the State's Attorney of Anne Arundel County,
for an increase in the minimum salaries of the deputy State's Attorney
and assistant State's Attorneys of Anne Arundel County, for an increase
in the number of assistant State's Attorneys for Anne Arundel County,
and for the appointment of a clerk for the office of the State's Attorney of
Anne Arundel County.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.

House Bill No. 14—By Delegate Friedman:

A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 125(c) of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1963
Supplement), title "Courts," "Municipal Court of Baltimore City," au-
thorizing the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to levy for and pay
the pensions for Municipal Court Judges.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.

House Bill No. 23—By the Prince George's County Delegation:

A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
subsection (q) (2) of Section 40 of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1963 Supplement), title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in
Fact," subtitle "State's Attorney," increasing the number of assistant
State's Attorneys which may be appointed by the State's Attorney in
Prince George's County from five to six and establishing the salary
therefor.

Rules.

House Bill No. 24—By the Prince George's County Delegation:

A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 98A (d) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1963
Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitle "Trial Magistrates
System," providing for the appointment of one additional substitute judge
of the People's Court for Prince George's County and fixing the term
thereof.
