FIRST READING OF HOUSE BILLS
House Bill No. 10—By the Calvert County Delegation:

A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal Section 277 (q) of Article 81 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1963 Supplement), title "Revenue and
Taxes," subtitle "Recordation Tax," and to enact a new Section 277 (q)
in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the section so repealed, prescribing
for Calvert County the rate of tax for recording certain instruments of
conveyance of real estate.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.

House Bill No. 12—By the Allegany County Delegation:

A Bill entitled: An Act to add new Section 572A to the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Allegany County (1963 Edition, being Article 1 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County," to
follow immediately after Section 572 thereof, and to be under the new
subtitle "Nursing Home," concerning the establishment of a Nursing
Home Board of Allegany County to provide for its membership, tenure,
powers and duties, to authorize the County Commissioners to supply funds
therefor, and relating generally to a nursing or convalescent home in
Allegany County.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.

House Bill No. 16—By the Harford County Delegation:

A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 447 (a) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County
(1957 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Harford County," subtitle "Roads and Public Works," sub-
heading "Department of Public Works," as enacted by Chapter 870 of the
Acts of 1963, to change the qualifications of the Director of Public Works
of Harford County.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.

House Bill No. 21—By Delegates Anderson, T., Blondes, Bresler, Cook,
E. P., Doing, Gore, McAuliffe, McInerney, Miller and Moore:

A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 8 (h), 9 (h), 9A (a) and 11 (j) of Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1963 Supplement), title "Alcoholic
Beverages," subtitle "Beer Licenses"; to add new Section 10 (h-1) to
Article 2B of said Code, of said title and subtitle, to follow immediately
after Section 10 (h) thereof; to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Sections 13 (i), 14 (h), 14A (a), 14A (b) and 16 (g) of Article 2B of
said Code, title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Beer and Light Wine
Licenses"; to add new Section 15 (f-1) to Article 2B of said Code, of
