equipping and landscaping the Caroline County Court House and authoriz-
ing the Board of County Commissioners of Caroline County to levy taxes on
the assessable property in said County to provide funds for the payment of
interest and principal as the same become payable.

Senate Bill No. 23—By Senator Bertorelli:

A Bill entitled: An Act to add a new section to Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1949 Edition),
title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Courts", said new section to be known as
Section 230C, to follow immediately after Section 230B of said Article,
creating an additional judgeship on the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City
and providing for the manner of filling such judgeship.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.

Senate Bill No. 24—By Senator G. Hughes:

A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal Sections 288(c-2), 289(f-3) and 289
(f-4) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and
1963 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "Income Tax", as

said sections were enacted by Chapter........ (House Bill 30) of the Regular

Session of 1964, and to enact new Sections 288(c-2), 289(f-3) and 289(f-4)
in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the sections so repealed, amending
the law which imposed an extra rate upon the State income tax in order to
change the rate of tax imposed, and relating generally to the imposition and
collection of income taxes in this State.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.

Senate Bill No. 25—By Senator Phoebus:

A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 11 of Article 49B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1963 Supple-
ment), title "Interracial Commission", subtitle "Discrimination in Public
Accommodations"; and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 16
of said Article, subtitle "Enforcement Powers of Commission", amending
the laws concerning discrimination in certain forms of public accommoda-
tion in this State and also the laws concerning certain enforcement powers
of the Interracial Commission in order to make these laws effective within
Somerset County.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.
