Senate Bill No. 18—By Senator Phoebus:

A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-
section (a) of Section 6 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1963 Supplement), title "Public Education", subtitle "Formation of
Boards", providing for a Board of Education in Somerset County composed
of eight members.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.

Senate Bill No. 19—By Senator Phoebus:

A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, sub-
section (a) of Section 14 of Article 88A of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "State Department of Public Welfare", subtitle
"In General", providing for a county welfare board in Somerset County
composed of eight members.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.

Senate Bill No. 20—By Senators Bertorelli, Curran, Hodges, Mach and
Welcome:

A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal Section 474 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Baltimore City (1949 Edition), being Article 4 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore City", subtitle "Councilmanic
and Legislative Districts" and to enact a new Section 474 in lieu thereof to
stand in the place of the section so repealed and to be under the new subtitle
"Legislative Districts" revising the boundaries of the several Legislative
Districts of Baltimore City, providing for the effect of this Act and relat-
ing generally to the Legislative Districts of Baltimore City, and to the
members of the General Assembly therefrom.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.

Senate Bill No. 21—By Senator G. Hughes, Jr.:

A Bill entitled: An Act to add a new Section 50A to Article 26 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1963 Supplement), title
"Courts", subtitle "Pensions of Judges and Their Widows", to follow im-
mediately after Section 50 thereof, providing that the County Commis-
sioners of Allegany County shall pay a pension or salary to the widow of
any former Chief Judge of the Fourth Judicial Circuit under certain condi-
tions, and relating generally to the procedures and requirements for this
payment.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.

Senate Bill No. 22—By Senator Hughes, H.:

A Bill entitled: An Act to authorize and empower the Board of County
Commissioners of Caroline County to issue and sell serial bonds upon the
full faith and credit of said County in an amount not in excess of Three
Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00) to be issued in such
amounts and at such times as said County Commissioners may designate,
