the State to enter into any agreements or contracts with the
United States or any agency thereof for construction, financing,
maintaining or operating works of improvement.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 50 be and it is hereby added to Article 96 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1963 Supplement),
title "United States", to follow immediately after Section 49 thereof,
to be under the new sub-title "Agreements on Works of Improve-
ment", and to read as follows:
Agreements on Works of Improvement
50. Any county or Baltimore City, or any municipality of the
State of Maryland, in addition to the powers which it may now have,
is hereby authorized to enter into any agreements or contracts with
the United States or any agency thereof in constructing, erecting,
financing, maintaining, using or operating any works of improve-
ment.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1964.

(Senate Bill 185)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 178(3)
of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1963 Supple-
ment), title "Insurance Code", sub-title 11. "Agents and Brokers",
eliminating a restriction on the number of examinations an in-
dividual can take to obtain a license to act as a life and/or health
insurance agent.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 178(3) of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1963 Supplement), title "Insurance Code", sub-title 11.
"Agents and Brokers", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
178.
(3) The Commissioner shall establish reasonable rules and regu-
lations with respect to the scope, type, conduct and grading of such
written examinations and the times and places within this State
where they shall be held; provided, that applicants shall be permitted
to take such examinations at least once in each week at the principal
office of the Commissioner, and provided further that such examina-
tions shall be offered at least once in each month at a location on
the Eastern Shore of Maryland and once each month at a location
on the Western Shore of Maryland (other than Baltimore City), such
locations to be selected by the Commissioner; and all examinations
