claimed National Anthem Day.

(House Joint Resolution 34)
House Joint Resolution commending the Attorney General on the
publication of The Attorney General's Digest.
Whereas, In August 1963, Thomas B. Finan, Attorney General of
Maryland, began the publication of The Attorney General's Digest;
and
Whereas, The Attorney General's Digest provides a capsule sum-
mary of noteworthy decisions of the State and Federal Courts dealing
with substantive and procedural aspects of criminal law and of
Attorney General's decisions; and
Whereas, While this publication was originally intended for State's
Attorneys, police officers and trial magistrates, it has proved so
valuable that now more than 1000 persons are on the circulation
list; and
Whereas, The Attorney General's Digest has proved to be an
invaluable guide to the members of the Legislature in their efforts
to keep the criminal laws of this State current and effective; now,
therefore, be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the Attorney
General, Thomas B. Finan, and his staff be congratulated on their
excellent publication, The Attorney General's Digest, with every wish
that the publication be continued and expanded.

(House Joint Resolution 42)
House Joint Resolution, Memorializing for a second time the Congress
of the United States to amend Public Local Law 86-669, enacted
July 14, 1960, such law being a part of the National Capital
Transportation Act of 1960, to permit the District of Columbia
to proceed with the planning and construction of that portion of
Interstate Route 70S within the District of Columbia in order
that the State of Maryland may complete the construction of In-
terstate Route 70S through that State to the District of Columbia
line.
