(i) To cooperate with the following agencies:
1. The State Roads Commission for shore erosion control where
essential to protect municipal, county or State roads.
2. The United States Army Corps of Engineers for the conduct of
shore erosion studies.
3. The Soil Conservation Service, United States Department of
Agriculture, in evaluation and application of vegetative measures for
shore erosion control.
4. The Water Pollution Control Commission in the reduction of
pollution originating from shore erosion.
5. The Department of Geology, Mines and Water Resources in the
conduct of overall geological studies of shore erosion.
6. The Department of Forests and Parks in shore erosion control
aspects of parks and recreation management.
7. THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT ON THE
ASPECT OF SHORE EROSION CONTROL.

The chief of the Division shall be an engineer with experience and
training in shore erosion control. He shall be the administrative head
of the Division.
THIS PROGRAM OF SHORE EROSION WILL BE CON-
DUCTED BY THE ENGINEERING SECTION OF THE DEPART-
MENT OF TIDEWATER FISHERIES.

(a) Funds shall be provided in the annual State general construc-
tion loan to be used for matching local funds from any source other
than the State for shore erosion control studies to be performed by
the United States Army Corps of Engineers. The State's share of
the cost of such a study shall not exceed twenty-five percentum
(25%).
(b) Funds shall be provided in the annual State general construc-
tion loan to pay for the State's share of construction costs of shore
erosion projects. The value of engineering sources provided by the
Division THIS SECTION shall be considered a part of the State's
contribution. The Division THIS SECTION shall actively seek co-
operation and cost sharing from federal sources for all eligible proj-
ects. Whenever the Division THIS SECTION has designed a project
and has estimated its cost, and with assurances that at least seventy-
five percentum (75%) of the cost will be payable from sources other
than the State, the Division THE DEPARTMENT OF TIDEWATER
FISHERIES shall submit a request for funds in the State general
construction loan, supported by an itemized list of specific projects.
The State's share of any project shall be limited to twenty-five per-
centum (25%) of its cost.
There is hereby created an Advisory Committee to the Division,
which shall advise the Division on the establishment of operational
