Should any member in any period of six consecutive years after
last becoming a member be absent from service more than two years,
or should he withdraw all or part of his accumulated contributions,
or should he become a beneficiary or die, he shall thereupon cease to
be a member; provided, however, that any member who was absent
from service for more than two years on account of the transfer or
lease to the United States of the facility or property where said
member was employed and who continued to work at the same place
as an employee of the United States until the return of the property
to the State after the war, when he again became an employee of the
State, shall be entitled to credit for all service as an employee of the
State before he became an employee of the United States as herein-
before described and his prior service certificate shall again become
effective as if he had not ceased to be an employee of the State. How-
ever, any such person who has withdrawn his accumulated contribu-
tions (other than one who has become a beneficiary or died) may
upon approval of the Board subsequently redeposit in the Retirement

drawn, with interest to the date of redeposit, and regain previous
service credit with the condition, however, that he may not retire
within three years after the date of re-entry in the Retirement
System.
Any member who had terminated membership in the Teachers'
Retirement System may upon approval of the Board and upon deposit
into the Employees' Retirement System of the accumulated contribu-

in the Employees' Retirement System.
