during the growing season upon any land planted to crops which
might be damaged by such entry.

32.

Any person or persons who shall move, remove, break, multilate,
deface, destroy, or otherwise injure any monument or monuments
marking any boundary between the State of Maryland and any ad-
jacent state, commonwealth or district shall be guilty of a misde-
meanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined fifty dollars
($50.00) for each and every offense. Any person or persons who shall
have in his or their possession any monument heretofore placed, or
prepared to be placed, upon any boundary of this State shall, upon
demand being made for the same by the [Board of Natural Re-
sources] Department of Forests and Parks, surrender and deliver the
same to the said [Board or to one of the constituent departments,]
Department or to its agents or employees [of the said Board], and
upon failure of any such person or persons to surrender and deliver
such monuments as hereinbefore required, such person shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined fifty
dollars ($50.00) for each and every offense. The [officers of the Board
of Natural Resources, and the full-time] game wardens, forest war-
dens and other conservation officers of the [component departments
of the Board,] State are hereby invested with the powers of arrest
and with other powers necessary to the enforcements of this section.
Nothing in this section shall be construed to require either the Mary-
land Historical Society or the Historical Society of Pennsylvania to
surrender or deliver to the [Board of Natural Resources] Depart-
ment
the Mason and Dixon monument placed in the custody of each of
the said societies by the mutual consent of the State of Maryland and
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1902.

All islands created, made or formed within the confines of
Sinepuxent, Isle of Wight and Chincoteague bays by the dumping or
depositing of excavated material from dredging or other artificial
means employed either by the State of Maryland or by the United
States, or by either or both, or by any department or agency thereof
during the construction or maintenance of the Ocean City Inlet and
the channel in said bays, as well as all accretion to such islands, past
or future, are hereby declared to be natural resources of the State of
Maryland and title to the same be retained for the use of the [Board
of Natural Resources] Department of Forests and Parks
DEPARTMENT OF GAME AND INLAND FISH and no patent
therefore, shall hereafter be issued by the Land Commissioner
of Maryland. The [Board of Natural Resources] Department is here-
by authorized and empowered to use said lands for conservation pur-
poses in such manner and under such regulations as in its discretion
it may deem for the best interest of the State, subject however, to the
approval of the Board of Public Works. Provided, however, that per-
sons who have licenses to hunt or fish in Worcester County shall have
the right to hunt or fish, as the case may be, on said lands during the
open season for such hunting or fishing. Nothing contained herein
shall be construed to affect past or future accretions to lands under
private ownership bounding on, or surrounded by the waters of,
Chincoteague, Isle of Wight and Sinepuxent bays.
