NONINSTRUCTIONAL PERSONNEL OF SUCH INSTITU-
TIONS, TEACHERS, PRINCIPALS, DIRECTORS OF EDUCA-
TION AND SUPERVISORS OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION ON
THE STAFFS OF BOYS' VILLAGE OF MARYLAND, MARY-
LAND TRAINING SCHOOL FOR BOYS, MONTROSE SCHOOL
FOR GIRLS AND MARYLAND CHILDREN'S CENTER, BUT
NOT THE NONINSTRUCTIONAL PERSONNEL OF SUCH IN-
STITUTIONS SHALL BE EXCLUDED FROM SAID PAY PLAN
AND FROM THE JURISDICTION OF THE STATE EMPLOYEES
STANDARD SALARY BOARD.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1964.

AN ACT to add new Section 228A to Article 43 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Health", to follow immedi-
ately after Section 228 thereof, and to be under the new sub-title
"Shellfish and Food Products", to prohibit the importation into the
State of shellfish and shellfish food products not certified by the
United States Public Health Service, with exceptions, to require
proof of certification of imported shellfish and shellfish food prod-
ucts, to provide for detention and destruction of imported shellfish
and shellfish food products, and to provide penalties for violations.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 228A be and it is hereby added to Article 43 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Health", to fol-
low immediately after Section 228 thereof, and to be under the new
sub-title "Shellfish and Food Products", and to read as follows:
Shellfish and Food Products
228 A.
(a) The State Department of Health shall prohibit the importa-
tion into the State of shellfish from sources that have not been certi-
fied for interstate shipment through the U. S. Public Health Service.
This prohibition shall not extend to shellstock imported into the State
for replanting under the direction of the Department of Tidewater
Fisheries.
(b) The State Department of Health shall prohibit the importa-
tion into the State of all food products containing shellfish and/or
portions of shellfish unless the shellfish and/or portions of shellfish
are from sources which have been certified for interstate shipment
through the U. S. Public Health Service. All processors of food prod-
ucts containing imported shellfish and/or shellfish portions must
keep on file proof that the shellfish and/or shellfish portions are from
sources certified through the U. S. Public Health Service and shall
