Powers of Commission", to correct an error in the law relating to
hearings before the Interracial Commission.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 14 (a) of Article 49B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1963 Supplement), title "Interracial Commission", sub-title
"Enforcement Powers of Commission", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

14.

(a) In case of failure to reach an agreement [by] for the elimina-
tion of the acts of discrimination and upon the entry of findings to
that effect, the entire file including the complaint and any and all
findings made shall be certified to. The chairman shall cause a
written notice to be issued and served in the name of the Commission
together with a copy of the complaint requiring the respondent to
answer the charges of the complaint at a public hearing before the
Commission of such time and place as may be certified in the notice.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1964.

AN ACT making appropriations for the support of the State Govern-
ment and for the aid of sundry schools and institutions and for
other purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1965.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That subject to the provisions hereinafter set forth and subject to
the Public General Laws of Maryland relating to the Budget pro-
cedure, the several amounts hereinafter specified, or so much thereof
as shall be sufficient to accomplish the purposes designated, are
hereby appropriated and authorized to be disbursed for salaries,
wages, technical and special fees and all other expenses for the
departments, boards, commissions and officers of the State, and to
the respective schools and institutions, and for the several purposes
specified for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1964, and ending June
30, 1965, as hereinafter indicated.
