record all judgments, decrees, [deed] deeds and writings which by
law are required to be recorded in the office of which he is clerk; he
shall issue all writs and process which by law may be issued from the
court of which he is clerk; he shall give a copy of any paper or record
in his office to any person applying for the same, upon being paid the
usual fees for transcribing such paper or record, and shall annex
thereto his certificate, under the seal of this court, if required; he
shall make proper entries of all proceedings in the court of which he
is clerk; and all entries and records shall be made in a fair, legible
hand, or with a typewriter or by the use of appropriate printed
forms, or by photostat machine if approved by the court, or by a
combination of one or more of the aforegoing, in well-bound books
procured by him for the purpose; or by any modern method now or
hereafter devised for that purpose or by a combination of the fore-
going; and he shall perform all the duties required by him, by law.
The cost of all equipment necessary to perform the duties of his
office shall, upon approval of the State Comptroller, be allowed as
an expense of his office.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1964.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Article II of
Section 261A of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1962 1963 Supplement), title "Natural Resources", sub-title
"Fish and Fisheries", sub-heading "General Provisions—Compact
of 1958", to amend the Potomac River Compact geographical
boundaries to eliminate Heron Island in St. Mary's County from
the jurisdiction of the Compact.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Article II of Section 261A of Article 66C of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1962 1963 Supplement), title "Natural Resources",
sub-title "Fish and Fisheries", sub-heading "General Provisions—
Compact of 1958", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
261A.
ARTICLE II. JURISDICTIONAL BOUNDARIES.
The territory in which the Potomac River Fisheries Commission
shall have jurisdiction shall be those waters of the Potomac River
enclosed within the following described area:
Beginning at the intersection of mean low watermark at Point
Lookout and an established line running from Smith's Point to Point
Lookout, marking Chesapeake Bay waters; thence following the
mean low line of the shore northwesterly across the respective
mouths of all creeks to Gray Point at the westerly entrance into
