Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

That Section 326, 327 and 328 of Article 48A of the Annotated

Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Insurance", sub title "Non-

profit Health Service Plans," be and they are hereby repealed and

re enacted, with amendments, to read as follows: THAT SECTIONS
354, 355 AND 356 OF ARTICLE 48A OF THE ANNOTATED
CODE OF MARYLAND (1957 EDITION), AS AMENDED BY

CHAPTER......... OF THE ACTS OF 1963 (SENATE BILL NO. 1),

TITLE "INSURANCE CODE", SUB-TITLE "20. NONPROFIT
HEALTH SERVICE PLANS", AND IN THE EVENT ARTICLE

48A IS NOT REVISED BY CHAPTER ......... OF THE ACTS OF

1963, SAID SECTIONS BEING SECTIONS 326, 327 AND 328 OF
THE SAID ARTICLE OF THE CODE (1957 EDITION), SUB-
TITLE "NONPROFIT HEALTH SERVICE PLANS", BE AND
THEY ARE HEREBY REPEALED AND RE-ENACTED, WITH
AMENDMENTS, TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

326.

Any corporation without capital stock heretofore or hereafter or-
ganized, under the provisions of Article 23 of the Code of Public
General Laws of this State, for the purpose of establishing, main-
taining and operating a nonprofit health service plan whereby hos-
pital, medical, chiropodial or dental care is provided by a hospital,
or hospitals, a physician or physicians, a chiropodist or chiropodists
and/or dentist or dentists, to persons who become subscribers to
such plan under contracts which entitle each subscriber to certain
hospital, medical, chiropodial or dental care, or any of them, shall be
governed and regulated by the provisions of this sub-title, and by no
other law relating to insurance unless such law is referred to under
this sub-title, and no law hereafter enacted shall apply to such cor-
porations, unless they are expressly designated therein, and specifi-
cally refer to such corporations.

327.

(a) No corporation subject to the provisions of this sub-title shall
issue contracts for the rendering of hospital, medical, chiropodial or
dental service to subscribers until the Insurance Commissioner has,

BEING SECTIONS 326, 327 AND 328 OF THE SAID ARTICLE

HEALTH SERVICE PLANS", amending the laws concerning
nonprofit health service plans in order that chiropodial care and
services may be rendered under contracts made as a part of such
nonprofit health service plans, and that subscribers under such
contracts be entitled to reimbursement for such care and services,
whether performed by a doctor of medicine or duly licensed
chiropodist.
