bation department, except that for Kent County CECIL, KENT, AND
QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTIES ALLEGANY, CALVERT, CARROLL,
CECIL, CHARLES, FREDERICK, GARRETT, HOWARD, KENT,
PRINCE GEORGE'S, QUEEN ANNE'S, ST. MARY'S AND WOR-
CESTER COUNTIES AND BALTIMORE CITY they shall be col-
lected by the State Department of Parole and Probation. From such
earnings the county probation department or the State Department
of Parole and Probation, as the case may be, shall pay the prisoner's
board and personal expenses, inside the jail and, to the extent directed
by the court, pay the support of his dependents, if any. Any balance
shall be retained and paid to him upon his discharge.

The provisions of this subtitle shall apply only in Harford, Kent,
CECIL, QUEEN ANNE'S and Anne Arundel County,
THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE APPLY IN BALTI-
MORE CITY AND IN ALL COUNTIES EXCEPT ANNE ARUN-
DEL, BALTIMORE COUNTY, CAROLINE, DORCHESTER, HAR-
FORD, MONTGOMERY, SOMERSET, TALBOT, WASHINGTON,
AND WICOMICO COUNTIES.
Sec. 2. And he it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to add new Sections 191 (i) and 194 (i) to Article 56 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1962 Supple-
ment), title "Licenses," subtitle "Dog Licenses in the Counties,"
to follow respectively after Sections 191 (h) and 194 (h) thereof,
and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 197 of the
said Article and subtitle of the Code (1962 Supplement), relating
to fees for licensing dogs in Washington County, to the control
of dogs running at large in the county and providing penalties for
violations; and relating to payment of claims for damages to trees,
shrubbery and personal property caused by dogs in the county.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sections 191 (i) and 194 (i) be and they are hereby added
to Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and
1962 Supplement), title "Licenses," subtitle "Dog Licenses in the
Counties," to follow respectively after Sections 191 (h) and 194 (h)
thereof, that Section 197 of the said Article and subtitle of the Code
(1962 Supplement), be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, and all to read as follows:
191.
(i) In Washington County the fees for dogs shall be determined
by the County Commissioners of the county.
