Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect

CHAPTER 410
(House Bill 803)
AN ACT to add a new Section 150 (a) to Article 2B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1962 Supplement), title
"Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Boards of License Commissioners,"
immediately to precede Section 150 (b) thereof, amending the
alcoholic beverage laws to provide that the County Commissioners
of Carroll County shall appoint the Board of License Commis-
sioners in Carroll County and to provide for the term of such
appointments and for annual compensation.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 150 (a) be and it is hereby added to Article 2B
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1962 Supple-
ment) , title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Boards of License Com-
missioners," immediately to precede Section 150 (b) thereof, and
to read as follows:
150.
(a) Carroll County—In Carroll County, the Board of County Com-
missioners shall appoint three persons, designating one of them as
chairman, who shall constitute the board of license commissioners
for said county; the first members of said board to be appointed for
one, two and three year terms, respectively and their successors there-
after for terms of three years each. Said board shall meet at least
once a month and each member shall receive as the sole compen-
sation for the performance of his duties the sum of five hundred dol-
lars per annum ($500.00).
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

(House Bill 804)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 151 of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1962 Supplement),
title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Boards of License Commis-
sioners," amending the Alcoholic Beverage laws to remove the
provision that the County Commissioners of Carroll County shall
ex officio constitute the board of license commissioners in Carroll
County.
